A & B Billiards provides full service for a wide range of game room products. Our knowledgable staff is backed by a supply channel to support many brands and models beyond what we sell directly. We also provide other services of interest to anyone with game room equipment in their home, business or institution. We maintain commercial, industrial and institutional game room equipment on the East Coast

Our service department is based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Installation and service to some areas, such as North Carolina, would involve a milage charge. For North Carolina and greater Virginia state concerns, contact the service department for further information.

Our service department can provide you with service and/or parts for any of the products purchased from our web site or showroom. Our dedicated staff will service any brand of pool table. Restoring a quality game to like new condition is generally possible.

The following services are among those available. This is the short list.

Setup New or Used Pool Table
We can install any type pool table. Most of the tables we install are those sold through recreational Factory Warehouse, however some pool tables are purchased online, delivered and need experienced installers to complete the job. In some cases the owner has attempted to assemble their own pool table and discovered it was not as easy as anticipated. We can finish even those jobs. It is best to have a professional install a pool table. Let us do the work, we have the knowledge and equipment to complete the job without damage to the pool table, house or people.

Teardown Pool Table
If you want a pool table taken apart, contact us. Attempting to dissassemble a pool table may damage the table if not done properly. We have skilled pool table technitions that can properly dissassemble a pool table and advise on storage or shipment. The pool table components are heavy and can cause injury if not handled safely. Let us do the work, we have the knowledge and equipment to complete the job without damage to the pool table, house or people.

Crate Pool Table Slate
If you are planning to move a great distance to a new home or location, you have most likely contacted a moving company. We work with moving companies and individuals to prepare the pool table for shipment. The pool table in most cases must be dissassembled. We will dissassemble the pool table and build a special crate for the slate. The pool table slate crate can then be handled safely by the movers and assured of its safe transport to its new home.

Re-Assembly of Pool Tables
If you have reciently moved to a new home from afar, your pool table was most likely dissassembled and crated. We will re-assemble the pool table, relevel and recover if needed. In some cases we work directly with the moving company to complete their moving contract.

Recovering Pool Table
After years of playing on a pool table the cloth may need replacement. In some cases the owner just wants a different color of cloth. You pick the color of cloth, we will come to your home remove the rails and apply the new cloth.

Moving Pool Tables
There are many reasons for moving a pool table. You may be moving to a new home in the area. You may have purchased a used pool table and need it moved from the previous owners home to yours. You may be installing new carpeting and want the pool table moved to a different room. We handle it all, just give us a call.

Re-leveling Pool Tables
Almost anytime a pool table is moved it will need to be releveled. In some rare situtations the table becomes unlevel to a structural change or abuse. We can re-level the pool table. Depending on the severity of adjustment, the rails may need removal to access the slate mounting hardware. The process to re-level the pool table is straight forward and it may be the time to reposition the table in the room if desirable.

Pool Table Cushion Replacement
After several years you may notice the pool table cushions are not as responsive or have irregular response. This means its time to replace the pool table cushions. The pool table cushions are usually glued onto the rail assembly. Therefore we will remove the cloth and rubber from the rails, glue new rubber and recover with new cloth. This is usually the time to replace the cloth on the table because the new cloth on the cushions will not match the older cloth on the bed of the table. For most customers when the cushions are replaced the table gets an overhaul with new cloth, cushions, re-level and anything else needed to restore your table to its original glory.

Slate Replacement
Pool table slate is a very stable material, however it is a natural product (stone) that may have imperfections that over it may break or sag. In some instances the slate will break if abused. Table dancing on the pool table is not advisable. Since the slate is honed and registered as a set of three pieces, we would order a new set of slate, bring it to your location, install and re-level the slate.

On-Site Pool Table Repair and Restoration
A pool table is a piece of furniture for some. If it is damaged, structurally or cosmetically, it may need repair. We will do that repair. In most cases the pool table can be restored fully. We will asses the damage before beginning any pool table repair. We have specialists to restore antique pool tables that will assist us in those very old and distinguised pool tables.

Wood Refinishing & Touchup
In many cases game room furniture appearance has a significant impact on the appearance of a room. If you have any game room furniture with cosmetic damage, we can touch-up the game or furniture or restore the surface. Scratches, gouges and dents are generally repairable.

Insurance Estimates of Game Damage
Bad things happen to good people and games, too. If you have fire, flood, storm or other insurance related damage, we can provide you with repair or replacement cost estimate to the game room furnishings.

Used Pool Table Valuation Estimates
If you want to sell a pool table, it is always a good idea to know its true market value. We can provide you an estimate and advice on how to present the table for sale. We also purchase used pool tables, and may want to purchase your pool table. The used pool tables being sold in newspapers and online, are usually not presented well or missleading the potential buyer, leading to the deal falling through.

When making changes to a home, many homeowners seek advice about the changes being considered. The changes may be large or small. In any case the changes are to meet a goal.
